o after a quick boot up and down the alley and the exchange of very little project dollars I had
my first real project. Mere days and a tow truck trip later the project was at home. Now I had to
insulate and drywall the garage so that I could work diligently all winter on my project. Fast
forward a few months and
the project car is now in
the garage. In the bar you
get “beer goggles” while
in the garage you get
‘gasoline goggles’ and
what I saw versus what
other people saw was
slightly different. as
illustrated below.
Next step is to put the car on jack stands and then take a look
underneath to see how I’m going to get the IRS under there. Hey what`s
this or should I say “what’s not this” - seems parts of the frame rails are missing. Not a big
deal just a little bit more work and I had to modify the frame to get the IRS in any ways.
Besides this is a good reason to get a bigger welder.
